Good preparation is the key to a comfortable and enjoyable experience during any cycling adventure. Below you will find a list of essential and recommended equipment, suitable for mountain and road bike tours, whether you're on a conventional or electric bike.

Essential Equipment

Mountain Bike

The bike must be in good technical condition

Cycling Helmet

Mandatory for all participants; helmet is included when renting an e-bike

Lights

Charged front and rear lights (rental e-bikes are equipped with these)

Glasses

Protection from sun, wind, dust, and insects

Riding Clothing

We recommend layering, which allows easy adaptation to conditions.

Cycling jersey / breathable t-shirt
Cycling shorts/tights (preferably with padding)
Light windproof jacket
Rain jacket
Warm clothing (fleece / light thermal top – for morning hours and higher altitude)
Gear preparation for mountain biking

Footwear

Sports/hiking shoes with grip
MTB shoes (optional)
Group of cyclists in the mountains

What to Pack in Your Backpack?

Small backpack (10–15 L)

ID card and small amount of cash
Change of clothes for sweating
Phone with charged battery
Water – 1L
Dried fruits (raisins, dates, figs), bananas, or energy bars
Sunscreen
Personal medications (if any)
Wet wipes
Spare inner tube
Tire repair kit
Multi-tool / mini pump (if you have one)
Power bank (optional)

The guide carries a basic emergency kit.

Logistics and safety are provided by Bike Motion.

Heavy backpack with food
Excessive amount of clothing while riding

When Riding an Electric Bike (e-bike)

No additional equipment needed
Battery is included and prepared
Bike is adjusted individually

E-bike does not require special clothing or preparation.

Better less but appropriate, than too much and unnecessary.
