About the Tour
Thassos Island is one of the most beautiful places for road cycling in Northern Greece.
The road circles the entire island, following the coastline and revealing continuous views of the Aegean Sea, green hills and small coastal villages.
“Tour of Thassos Island” is an expedition-style cycling tour that combines:
• road cycling with minimal traffic

• beautiful sea landscapes
The route follows a large part of the island’s coastal road and allows you to experience the true character of Thassos – green, peaceful and welcoming.
The tour is suitable both for intermediate road cycling enthusiasts and for people who want to combine an enjoyable journey with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Keramoti (Greece), ferry crossing to Thassos Island, cycling route: Thassos Town – Panagia – Skala Potamias. Route distance: 16 km, elevation gain: 360 m.
Meeting of the group in Keramoti (Greece).
At 14:00 we board the ferry to Thassos Island.
After arriving around 15:00, we begin our first, easier cycling ride.
We will take a short ride through Thassos Town and then head towards the beautiful mountain village of Panagia, where we will visit the Springs of the Virgin Mary.
From there we continue to the coastal village of Skala Potamias, where our first overnight stay will take place.
After check-in, there will be free time for a walk by the sea and dinner in a traditional Greek taverna.
Day 2. Skala Potamias – Aliki – Limenaria – Prinos. Route distance: 66 km, elevation gain: 890 m.
Today is the longest and most dynamic day of the tour.
The route follows the southern coastline of the island – one of the most beautiful sections for road cycling.
We will ride along a scenic coastal road with views of the sea and the island’s mountain slopes. We will also stop to take unforgettable photos at the Aliki Peninsula.
Around halfway through the route we reach the town of Limenaria, where we will take a break and have lunch at a restaurant.
The next part of the route leads us along the western coast of the island to the town of Prinos, where our second overnight stay will take place.
Day 3. Prinos – Rachoni – Thassos Port. Route distance: 23 km, elevation gain: 250 m.
The final day begins with a relaxed panoramic ride along the northern part of the island.
We will make a short detour to the villages of Rachoni and Agios Georgios, which offer beautiful views of the sea and a traditionally peaceful atmosphere.
After that, we continue towards Thassos Port, where we board the ferry back to Keramoti.

- Transport to Keramoti (Greece). Upon prior request and for an additional fee, comfortable transport for you and your bicycle can be arranged;

Bicycle Information
Each of you can participate with your own bicycle, whether it is a conventional or an electric one.
If you do not have a bicycle, you can rent a high-quality, comfortable full-suspension electric bike, including a helmet.

Cycling for three to five hours per day on good asphalt roads. Some previous experience with longer rides (around 60 km) would be beneficial. We recommend that participants are in reasonably good physical condition.
